Wednesday run day...
Todays plan was for a run in the morning with 800m repeats and a swim in the afternoon, but due to work & family commitments I had to drop the swim. Had to pick up my daughter from dancing at 5:30, plus get some dinner cooked and only finished work at 4:30 so I couldn't get it in.
Managed to complete the run as planned and did 12 x 800m at just below half ironman pace. Stopped for a quick toilet break and on starting again I saved the workout so I had to start another workout but this shows the first 9 or 10 intervals all nice and even.

Legs felt a little tired but generally all good.
I'm running as the 4 min/km pacer for a 10km event next weekend so I have been trying to maintain a few shorter interval sessions to make sure I keep the pace up for that and then I will stretch things out after that and get specific for the ironman marathon training.
I won't have nay issues with the 4 min/km pace but just to be sure as it is a hilly difficult course so I better be ready. I will then do another 15km steady after the race to make it a nice long run training session. But it will be good to be involved in a race to break things up a bit.
